Carrier Compliance Team Lead

The Carrier Compliance Team Lead will assist the Director of Compliance in leading the compliance department and will be responsible for guiding and developing team members to consistently execute policies while ensuring carriers within the Arrive Logistics network are compliant and meet company standards. The position will help drive compliance initiatives throughout the organization by working on cross functional teams to drive system improvements and increase compliance awareness throughout all departments. 

What You’ll Do

  • Manage the day-to-day activities and development of a small (3-8) person team of carrier compliance personnel. 
  • Handle escalated and complex compliance issues. Provide guidance on compliance issues that fall outside of normal processes. Respond to questions and escalations regarding compliance protocol. 
  • Assist the Director as a liaison with various teams at Arrive to investigate and assist with claims, legal, or finance issues, ensuring collegiality and efficiency in the carrier compliance process. 
  • Use knowledge of carrier compliance, insurance requirements and company processes to plan and implement long term compliance related projects, initiatives, and system enhancements. 
  • Mentor and train the compliance team members on responsibilities, process updates and continuing industry education. 
  • Utilize real-time online monitoring services to assess authority, insurance, and safety ratings of our carrier partners to provide exceptional service for Arrive’s customers, while protecting the company from non-compliant carriers and undue risk. 
  • Monitor existing partner carriers are continuing to meet Arrive’s minimum business rules and compliance standards using a variety of proactive daily, weekly, and monthly reporting activities. 
  • Investigate and analyze alerts for changes in DOT authority, insurance expirations, and FreightGuard Reports that are submitted about our carrier partners.
  • Update our proprietary TMS system with detailed and accurate information from registration, insurance, and safety audits to ensure data accuracy for proper booking permissions. 
  • Delegate and execute reporting tasks created by or assigned by the Director of Compliance. 
  • Develop metrics to provide insights to drive system improvements and team efficiencies as indicated by analysis. 
  • Perform quality control to ensure compliance processes are being followed.
  • Monitor changes to regulations and policies that impact compliance operations and update processes accordingly; initiate policy reviews and updates as needed to maintain industry regulations. 
  • Update and maintain team SOPs, while providing suggestions for improvement and efficiencies. 


  • 3+ years of compliance analysis in the transportation industry, including knowledge of carrier compliance and DOT regulations. 
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience and employee development responsibilities.
  • Project management and process oversight experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work well with different roles, personality types and seniority levels

  • Strong problem solving ability and issue resolution skills 
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills. 
  • Ability to self-motivate and drive projects independently 
  • Proven ability to multitask in a fast paced, high energy environment. 
  • Strong logical reasoning skills, detail oriented, with strong follow through.
  • Excellent customer service skills via phone and email. 
  • A working knowledge of the Microsoft Office and G-Suite 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus
