Director of HRIS

We are looking for a Director of HRIS to manage the strategy, maintenance and continuous improvement of Arrive’s Workday HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance and Learning and Development modules in a complex, high-growth organization. The Director of HRIS will be Arrive’s HR functional leader for Workday and any additional HRIS software and solutions, and will manage project plans, prioritization and coordination or Workday roadmap initiatives with various key stakeholders across the organization. 

What You’ll Do

  • Direct operations of the HRIS department and inspire, motivate and lead the team to success.
  • Hire, develop, promote and performance manage employees as needed. 
  • Manage budget process and plan and direct short and long term initiatives.
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders and SMEs to support growth initiatives and drive alignment on shared vision and objectives.
  • Own people data and analytics for the entire organization.
  • Plan and direct the strategy and ongoing administration of the Human Resources Information Systems (Workday) to support short and long-term organization goals, enable efficiency, and promote cross-company collaborative innovation.
  • Oversee the specification, development, and implementation of global HR processes, policies and procedures.
  • Identify and document key People Operations processes
  • Provide strategic direction to a team of HRIS Analysts. Roll out and maintain new solutions with a strong focus on efficiency, data privacy and integrity, and compliance.
  • Proactively support projects, project risks/issues and implement effective mitigation plans.
  • Communicate effectively and manage Workday project stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization, including People Operations, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, and Technology teams, as well as other key leaders to gather and prioritize needs and identify and implement the most effective solutions for integrations and new or updated business processes.
  • Serve as the liaison between Total Rewards, POPs, Recruiting, Information Technology, external vendors, and other stakeholders for HRIS database design and implementation projects.
  • Oversee and delegate HR technology projects or initiatives involving Workday HCMS, Payroll, Benefits, Time and Attendance and other Workday modules.
  • Proactively research and find solutions to business needs by leveraging Workday Community, third-party implementers, and other resources.
  • Use understanding of system setup, interdependencies, and data flows to report and track data and identify issues.
  • Liaise with IT on HRIS change management process and ensure that all required approvals are obtained prior to any configuration changes.
  • Provide guidance on the design, development, testing, and implementation of support and enhancement of Workday Security, in partnership with Arrive IT. 
  • Coordinate with Analytics Engineering team to ensure data integrity and enable quality analytics. 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, HR management, business administration, or similar.
  • 6-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Expert Workday knowledge required. 
  • People management experience. 
  • Exceptional ability to gather and interpret data.
  • Ability to collaborate, provide technical support, and train staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to connect with a variety of stakeholders from users to Executives inside and outside of the organization. 
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

Supervisory Responsibility:

  • This position will oversee a team of HRIS Analysts and Business Data Analysts.
