Reed Fremin – LSU 2016
Where did you go to school?
I went to LSU where I earned a degree in Marketing with a minor in Personal Investing from the EJ Ourso School of Business. While at LSU I was an active member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity which helped me build priceless relationships and ultimately led me to Arrive.
How did you find Arrive?
Upon graduating, I had no clue what my next move was going to be, but a few of my pledge brothers had moved to Austin to work for Arrive. I had little to no idea about what they were doing over there but finally, one of my buddies reached out to me. He gave me a rundown of what Arrive was all about, and told me to get over here as soon as possible. A few days later I was having coffee with Bianca and Kari in Baton Rouge, not long after that I was in Austin for my on-site interview with Tony. I knew it was an opportunity that I could not pass up so I had a very easy decision to make once the job offer was extended to me.
What is your favorite thing about Arrive?
It’s tough to pick one thing, but if I had to pick I’d say that the opportunity for growth this company provides is my favorite thing. I come in every day with a real opportunity to build my book of business and make more money than the day before. There is no better feeling than checking your numbers and being able to see the progress you’ve been able to make over a short period of time. The office environment here is incredible, as well. A positive energy surrounds this place that keeps me motivated throughout the day.
Have any advice for prospective arrive candidates?
There is no tougher time than right after college, when you are on the job hunt. Don’t settle for a job just because it is a large company and will look good on a resume. Be proactive in finding a job that will allow you to be yourself and put your character on full display. I knew nothing about this industry before I started, but what I know now is that I would not want to be working anywhere else.
