Introducing New Division: Strategic Partners

By Eric Dunigan

When Matt Pyatt and I founded Arrive Logistics, we were ambitious, aggressive and determined to build a better brokerage. We had big goals and quickly learned the best way to achieve those goals is hiring and surrounding yourself with high-caliber people. We expanded our network and hired some of the most talented people in the industry.

The plan worked. Since 2014, we went from 10 people to more than 1,000 and are projected to ship more than 600,000 loads in 2020.

Now, more than five years later, we are proud to announce the launch of the Strategic Partners Division. This division is composed of executive alumni from enterprise shippers, carriers and technology providers and designed to be a resource that enriches the internal Arrive team and offers insights, network and experience to our partners. This strategy is unprecedented in our space, but it is an obvious choice for us. We are a people-first organization, and this division is offering the same approach to our customers we took when we started the company – surround yourself with smart people.

The Strategic Partners Division is a team with more than 200 years of collective experience at large Fortune 500 companies. The purpose of the Strategic Partners Division is to be a resource for our customers as well as our internal teams, focusing on solving problems and building relationships, not just driving sales. The Strategic Partners team includes Lew Dowell, David Floyd, Aaron Galer, Eric Lien, Sara Lieser, Spence Manthe, Dave Reiss, Chris Torrence and Darlene Wolf.

The Strategic Partners team has a deep understanding of developing and optimizing supply chain strategy; streamlining operations; building and overseeing transportation teams that manage multi-billion dollar transportation spends; and developing and implementing technology for large shippers.

Part of my job is understanding our partners’ priorities and needs and to do that I meet with hundreds of customers a year.  I hear many common themes — they need to make their supply chain more efficient; reduce costs but not at the expense of service; and build a more flexible and agile supply chain. That’s where the strategic partners team comes in. When our partners are dealing with these complexities, we have a resource we can offer them.

In 2020, the Strategic Partners team is hitting the ground running as they strive to have thousands of meetings with shippers and carriers alike. The creation of this team is an investment that supports our vision for our people: to empower the ambitious. It supports our mission: to build the most informed transportation platform that solves logistics challenges efficiently and reliably for our partners. Our entire organization knows it is our responsibility to make our clients’ lives more prosperous. If you have any suggestions on how we could be a better partner to your organization, I would love to hear from you directly.
