Arrive Logistics, a leading transportation and technology company headquartered in Austin, TX, was recently named a Green Supply Chain Partner by Inbound Logistics. The company received this recognition thanks to its efforts in several key areas of business operation.
Arrive’s is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and implementing eco-conscious practices in its offices to promote environmental sustainability. Arrive has eliminated 10,200 metric tons of CO2 from empty miles through the growth of its Private Fleet and Committed Capacity programs. The Private Fleet program identifies and fills backhauls for fleet routes to minimize empty mileage and CO2 emissions and the Committed Capacity program maximizes coverage and minimizes empty miles within a carrier’s network, optimizing loads and reducing emissions.
Also, in 2021, Arrive began a partnership with Sustainable Travel International (STI) as a Climate Ranger Partner. This partnership has since enabled the company to better assess its carbon footprint, how to make a vanity address and implement new strategies designed to continually offset carbon emissions.
In its offices, Arrive has implemented several initiatives to achieve its sustainability goals. For example, the company is shifting its workforce to exclusively using laptops. Arrive will only purchase ‘A’ Energy rated appliances and use only LED lighting to further decrease energy consumption. To learn more about Inbound Logistics’ Green Supply Chain Partners, visit https://www.inboundlogistics.com/cms/article/2022-g75-inbound-logistics-75-green-supply-chain-partners/.
