The people at Arrive Logistics are who make our organization one of a kind. We sat down with Glen Antoine, Coverage Team Lead on the Coverage Team, to hear more about his role and why he loves being at Arrive.

How did you learn about Arrive and start working here?

I first learned about Arrive during my job search process following college. I graduated in 2016 from the University of Idaho where I played football. Although I’m originally from Louisiana, I went to high school in Texas and was interested in pursuing a career in Austin. Being focused on my time as an athlete in college, I wasn’t entirely sure what I wanted to do next but was intrigued with the opportunity to join Arrive. I applied online and when I came to the interview, I was blown away. I was so impressed by the organization and company energy. I was thrilled to join the team when I received an offer here.

What does your daily routine look like?

I start each day early by getting my twin daughters ready for daycare and then I’m off to work. Following a long day at the office, I generally try to spend as much time with my wife and daughter as possible whether that’s having dinner together, reading to my twins or just spending time together as a family.

What does an average day in your role look like?

I start the work day off by identifying what needs to be prioritized for the day and giving out assignments to my team. Most of the people on my team have been with us for a short time, so I work hard to teach them everything they need to know and set them up for success. During the morning rush, I help develop my team through coaching, answering questions, helping with interpersonal skills and monitoring calls and activity. Our main priority for the day is to get out hot loads and work on all primary contracted freight. My team works with almost every other team across the company which keeps each day fun and interesting.

What do you prioritize in your work?

My top priority in my role here at Arrive is making sure each sales rep is getting the training they need. Arrive is a people-first organization, and my main focus is making sure that our reps get the training they need so they can progress in their careers here at Arrive.

How has your role at Arrive evolved?

When I first started at Arrive in 2017, I was a carrier sales rep. I eventually worked my way up to being a coverage team lead, as well as a coverage team lead on the weekends. My department has also grown quite a bit. Starting out, we had about 10-12 people on the team, and now we’re at about 40!

How has Arrive grown since you first started?

Arrive has grown tremendously since I first started. I’ve seen our company grow from 250 to more than 1,000 people and expand into a much larger office than where we started out at.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work, my life is mainly focused on spending quality time with my twin daughters. Along with that, I love watching sports on TV. I’m a huge football fan!

What are your goals for 2021?

In 2021, I want to make sure I continue to do a great job at Arrive and help our sales reps get better and better. You can never stop improving, and I want to make sure each rep loves what they do and feels like they have the best coaching in the company. I’m also hoping to grow the coverage team, get more organized and continue to innovate.

What keeps you at Arrive?

The culture at Arrive is 100% of the reason why I stay here. It’s unmatched. There are a lot of people out there who dread coming to work, but I love it. Arrive is a company where the roles are interesting and you can make a lot of great friends. Arrive has allowed me to make an amazing career for myself, and the culture here is just amazing. Everyone is so welcoming and each person wants to see you do better.
